IT Support Engineer

IT SUPPORT ENGINEER / SOUTHAMPTON / £24,000 - £29,000 DOE + BENEFITS
PT Solutions is a small IT Support and Services provider based at the University of Southampton Science Park in Hampshire.

We are expanding and therefore have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join our dedicated and highly responsive team.

Key Responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer:

• Perform 1^st and 2^nd Line Support and where required assist with 3^rd Line Support
• Record details of IT incidents and service requests and working to resolve these

The systems to be supported will include:

• Physical and Virtual Microsoft Server environments
• Microsoft Office 365, both In-house and Hosted
• Microsoft Exchange
• Email Security and Web Filtering
• Remote Access and VPN, Anti-virus and Security Management
• Firewall, Router and Switch Management
• Domain Name Management
• Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)

Skills & Experience Required:
The IT Support Engineer MUST have a good working knowledge and experience of the following (installed and supported):

• Microsoft Windows 7 and 10, Microsoft Windows Server including 2008, 2012 and 2016, Microsoft Office 365 and 2016, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Group Policy
• Virtualisation - VMware
• TCP/IP
• Email Security and Web Filtering
• Anti-virus solution
• Firewalls, Routers and Switches
• Driving licence and vehicle are required for business travel
