The Firm
Our client is a young, but dynamic and fast growing boutique practice based in the Royal Borough of Windsor, serving clients across Berkshire and nationwide. The majority of its work comes from personal recommendation and the firm has a commitment to providing an excellent level of service within a supportive and friendly working environment. The firm is now embarked on a period of expansion as a legal aid provider of immigration services and is currently seeking to recruit an immigration solicitor / supervisor. The Role
You will be dealing with a broad range of immigration and asylum matters including EEA applications, naturalisation/registration applications, entry clearance, further leave and indefinite leave to remain applications and asylum and human rights, with a solid background in publicly funded immigration/asylum work under a Legal Aid contract. Work will include matters relating to refugee and asylum law, and you should have experience in handling applications relating to domestic violence, statelessness, and human rights and on a discretionary basis. You will be supervising the immigration team and will be expected to build up the existing caseload and level of instructions through effective networking and marketing.
The Candidate
The firm is looking for an experienced solicitor of 3+ years' PQE, accredited by the Law Society at Level 2 IAAS and with supervisor status;
Ideally, with strong advocacy skills;
Able to explain complex matters in clear, accessible language;
You will have an excellent academic record and be extremely ambitious, looking to actively contribute to the major expansion of the immigration team in particular and the firm as a whole;
Have excellent time management and IT skills.
