Assistant Flood Risk Consultant- Sheffield

My client, a market leading multidisciplinary Environmental Consultancy, is searching for an Assistant Flood Risk Consultant to join a fast based office based in Sheffield to complete varied Flood Risk, Hydrology and Hydraulic Modelling Projects and visit flood risk sites.

This exciting opportunity will offer you the chance to be trained by a specialist team of Hydrologist and Flood Risk Engineers to complete varied Flood Risk, Hydraulic Modelling and Drainage Projects for Local Authorities, Water Companies, Private Sector Clients and Government Bodies.

This exciting opportunity will offer you the chance to complete technical work, visit flood risk sites (utilising company vehicles) and frequently liaise with Clients to discuss project development.

You will be trained and supported by an experienced team to complete Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Catchment Management Plans, Hydrological Assessments, Flood Estimation using FEH, Winfap and ReFH and Hydraulic Modelling, Model Build, Verification using Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow.

Candidates are required to have a BSc, MSc and/or PhD in a relevant subject (e.g. Hydrology, Environmental Management or Hydroinformatics) and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing or reviewing Flood Risk Assessments or Drainage Strategies or Hydraulic Modelling Projects using Flood Modeller Pro, Infoworks or Tuflow.

Candidates are required to be outgoing individuals who are keen to develop their flood risk skills and liaise with clients and team members regarding project development and issues.

You are also required to have a valid UK licence to visit flood risk sites and utilise company vehicles.
