Job Title: Field Engineer
Location: Loughborough
Salary: ?23,500pa + Overtime (OTE ?28,000pa)
Duration: Permanent, 140 hours per month

The Company
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Field Engineer to join an expanding team in Loughborough, Leicestershire. You will be part of a market leading IT solutions provider supplying Point of Sale, Attendance and Access Control systems to the UK education sector. In return you will receive a competitive salary of at least ?23,520 with the possibility of more through overtime.

Your main responsibility as a Field Engineer will be the installation and repair of hardware at customer?s sites within England and Wales. This will involve, selecting spare parts necessary for the job, travelling to site, confirming and/or further diagnosing the fault then repairing or replacing components. Some jobs involve stays away during the week.

You will be working on the following systems:-
Point of Sale
Attendance
Access Control
?
The ideal candidate will have the following essential skills/attributes:
Self-motivated and independent worker
Logical thinking to diagnose faults
Willingness to travel widely
Full current UK Driving Licence
Enhanced DBS Check (we will help submit the application)
Basic understanding of PC hardware
Basic understanding of electrical circuits
Confident with hand tools including power drills

Any of the following will be considered to be an advantage:-
Experience of installing network cables and trunking
Experience of installing access control systems
Working knowledge of TCP/IP and local area networks

Vehicle for travelling to/from job
Accommodation and food when working away
Work clothes
