Are you an ambitious Sales professional with a proven track record of sales in the food (ideally gourmet) / FMCG industry?
 

We are a small but rapidly expanding fine food business selling gourmet products in the retail, food service and giftware sectors. We are seeking a driven, entrepreneurial person to lead and deliver our ambitious sales targets in both the UK and overseas. You will be a sales professional with an impressive, demonstrable sales track record in speciality foods and a flexible and hands-on approach to delivering exacting targets.

The Sales Manager Opportunity:

Reporting to the Managing Director this is a great opportunity for an ambitious and entrepreneurial sales professional to take responsibility for driving and delivering Sales on behalf of a fast growing luxury food brand. The right candidate will be highly rewarded and will enjoy fast track career growth to Sales Director (subject to performance).

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility for all aspects of our B2B & B2C Sales activities for UK and USA

+ Selling to food service distributors, food manufacturers, restaurants and retailers
+ Maintaining and enhancing our strong sales growth trajectory, with expectation of year on year growth maintained at 30%+
+ Planning and implementing Sales strategy for UK, US
+ Developing and managing sales operating budgets
+ Building on our excellence in customer satisfaction by continuously striving to provide great service and solutions for customer queries, requests, problems and promotions
+ Ensuring that regular reviews are carried out with customers, to ensure that excellent customer service is achieved
+ Organising, managing and overseeing the Sales Team consisting of Web Merchandiser, Key Account Manager and Sales support
+ Representing the brand externally to enhance and strengthen the company’s profile and optimise business development opportunities 
+ Accurately forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace
+ Maximising company sales prices and resulting profit margins
+ Identifying potentially valuable emerging markets and new sales channels
+ Working closely with the Managing Director on the strategy for the business as a whole

Person specification:

+ Entrepreneurial and Ambitious; target driven
+ 5 years + working as a senior sales executive within the gourmet food industry 
+ Proven experience in a senior food service sales role, ideally in UK and US, delivering significant growth
+ Some knowledge of Retail and Online sales channels
+ Passionate about sales 
+ Excellent communications skills – written and verbal
+ Effective leadership and management skills
+ Team building; the ability to motivate others to achieve
+ Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to establish excellent working relationships with a variety of people
+ Strong organisational skills
+ Strategic thinker who is commercially aware
+ Creative, with initiative and innovative ideas
+ Full clean driving licence

Remuneration package:

Salary: £50,000 per annum
Bonus: Quarterly sales bonus based on sales growth- uncapped potential c£75,000 OTE
Vehicle: Company vehicle provided
Holiday: 28 days per annum including bank holidays
Hours of work: 8.30- 5pm- this is a senior role so it expected that the person will undertake the hours to complete the role
Pension: Contributory pension scheme
Location: Based at South Cerney with significant travel in UK and some USA trips
