Position: Dementia Support Worker
Location: Leicester
Contract type: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: 21 per week
Salary: GBP12,207 per annum (actual)

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our integrated dementia support service covering Leicester City, Leicestershire and our hospitals.

As a Dementia Support Worker, you will provide essential information, support and guidance to people living with dementia, their families and carers, using a variety of methods, either face-to-face, over the phone or via email.

You will be working within a small team, covering Leicester City, Leicestershire County and University Hospitals Leicester, but your main office base will be in Leicester Forest East.

About you:

Excellent communication skills are a must. You will also need to possess an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) and a good standard of IT skills would be desirable.

Your caseload will be varied so we are looking for someone with the right mix of enthusiasm, professionalism and flexibility who is able and willing to work in a variety of settings.

You will be responsible for your own caseload, so your ability to manage your own time effectively will be essential.
