They are one of the market leaders in their sector and provide SAMEDAY COURIER SERVICES to some of the UK'S top businesses, in addition to serving the needs of locally based businesses.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NATIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to join their busy Central Sales team, based in the MIDLANDS. The role will entail 75% new business development and 25% account management of two existing national contracts. The post can be based at any of their sites in the nationally that they operate from however the sales territory will focus on BIRMINGHAM, COVENTRY, NORTHAMPTON, LEICESTER, DERBY, NOTTINGHAM, WORCESTER, WOLVERHAMPTON, TAMWORTH, STAFFORD, RUGBY and NUNEATON
Working as part of a team, you will ideally have a PROVEN TRACK RECORD of developing NEW BUSINESS SALES specifically within the SAMEDAY / LOGISTICS or SUPPLY CHAIN market place from medium and large prospect customers. You will have good communication skills, in both written and oral form. You will also have;
• Track record of success in B2B new business sales
• Proven to be results orientated
• Strong negotiating and selling skills
• Drive and enthusiasm
• Determination to meet business targets
• Track record of success in B2B sales
• Ability to research and appoint your own prospects
• Highly presentable and have excellent presentation skills
Ideally you will have experience of the SAMEDAY COURIER / LOGISTICS and/or SUPPLY CHAIN market, but applicants from a transport logistics background, such as Next Day, Pallet network, or other logistics network sectors may be suitable.
This is a permanent and full time contract with your working week running from Monday to Friday each week.
