Responsibilities;
* To ensure the successful alignment and test of products and systems through product test.
* Accept responsibility of a product through test and inspection up to the delivery to the despatch shelf.
* Ensure a successful transition from product prototype to shipment.
* Produce documentation for products when necessary, i.e. Block diagrams, test procedures and other test documents under the guidance of the design authority.
* Subject Matter Expert (SME) of products and modules, acting as an initial point of contact in cases of assembly, testing and product performance issues. In conjunction with their line manager/supervisor.
* As product SME provide training where appropriate to other members of the product test team.
* Identify problems with products and systems during manufacture and report back to the line manager/supervisor and design authority immediately. Examples include identifying where inappropriate components have been used (i.e. wrong rating for the design etc). No changes are to be made without the approval of the design authority.
* Suggest improvements to the test and alignment processes for products and systems to the line manager/supervisor.
* Assist in taking new designs from Engineering into manufacture. To work with the design authority in testing prototypes where necessary.
* Create test procedures for the ATE database, when necessary, using the ATE author under the guidance of the design authority.
* Manage small projects within guidelines set by the line manager/supervisor.
* Assist in range testing as required.
* Assist with other stages of manufacture to help meet urgent deadlines when required.
* Ensure that products and modules are built and tested in accordance to the documentation to ensure compliance with the DAOS procedures.
* Ensure that all appropriate Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
* Contribute, be involved and actively support the continuous improvement process within every facet of the organisation whilst adhering to the Quality Management System.
* Correct route card processes must be followed on the equipment log, all test results must be completed within specification and any log books registered and competently maintained.
* Manufacture products to the ISO9001 standard as stated in the Quality Management System.
Requirements;
* Strong Electronics test engineering experience.
* Knowledge of RF systems and circuitry either from a professional or personal standpoint.
* Eligible to gain SC level defence security clearance.
