This is an excellent opportunity to have an interesting and varied professional workload. You will be involved in delivering the planning process to manage development across the City. A new City Development Plan has recently been adopted, major regeneration initiatives are underway and over 3000 development applications are received each year. The Planning Performance Framework as developed sets a context to ensure that activity supports sustainable economic recovery and you will be responsible for ensuring that core elements are delivered. As a member of a team you will prepare reports, give technical advice to colleagues, customers and clients as well as be proactive in delivering performance targets. As well as Planners/Architects the position may be suitable for other built environment professions such as Urban Designers/Landscape Architects/Architects.
