In Wiltshire, we believe that prevention is better than crisis so we have been working to transform the way adult social care is provided. This means focusing on rapid response and information at the first point of contact, effective reablement and working with our partners to build on the strengths of our customers and the communities in which they live.

At the same time as helping people to take informed risks to live the life they choose we continue to build on our good reputation for helping people to stay safe.

LIVE???WORK???SUPPORT

The Advice and Contact Team is the front door to adult social care in Wiltshire. The team consists of Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Information Officers who work together to respond to people's enquiries, signpost and provide information, advice and guidance in order to support people to live as independently as possible within their communities

About the role

We offer a great environment in which to work with clear career progression, an emphasis on promoting team members health and wellbeing and opportunities for flexible working.

As an advanced Occupational Therapist, you will provide professional support and training on occupational therapy matters to Occupational Therapists, and other team members. You will deal with some of the more complex enquiries and develop good working relationships with colleagues in other teams to ensure people get the most appropriate response. You will promote person centred practice and positive risk-taking as well as helping to embed an asset based approach and culture within the whole team.

About you

Registered with HCPC as an Occupational Therapist you will have the minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience and a desire to show leadership for professional practice. Evidence of professional development including contributing to the development and learning of others individually and as part of a team is essential.

If you are a motivated individual and would like to find out more about how you can become to be part of a collaborative and innovative service please call our principal occupational therapist Lisa Dibsdall on or email.
