Business Development Manager

Our client is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team based in Stratford.

PLACE OF WORK

Based in Stratford, with regular travel nationwide.

CONTRACT

37.5 per week and 22-28 days annual leave and 8 days bank holiday per year.

SALARY

£31-33,000 per year, depending on experience

MAIN DUTIES

  • Help maintain the ethos and success of the organisation by managing relationships with staff and stakeholders in line with the organisation’s culture and values.
  • Showcase services and products at events, conferences and tender marketplace meetings, building up a network of contacts and potential customers.
  • Monitor the marketplace and online portals for relevant tender and business opportunities and participate and review opportunities in line with the growth strategy.
  • Co-ordinate new tender applications, which may include: contributing to the writing of bid documents, planning budgets, working with colleagues to develop service models and attending pitches.
  • Support the handover of newly awarded contracts to mobilisation and service delivery staff.
  • Revamp and maintain responsibility for the website and develop promotional collateral in line with the organisations brand.
  • Ensure a consistent approach to how the company is presented and promoted by ensuring digital and printed resources follow brand and copywriting guidelines.
  • Develop and implement business to business sales strategies for specific programmes or resources that require a targeted approach.
  • Update social media accounts to promote products and services and to strengthen the companies position as a reputable, pioneering health & well-being organisation.

REQUIREMENTS


Key competencies:

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to develop a wide network of relevant contacts.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing B2B sales and marketing strategies, including digital and face to face approaches.
  • Experience in public sector business development, including tender processes.
  • An alignment to the company's values and an enthusiasm to work to these principles.
  • Driven, enthusiastic and motivational personality.
  • Knowledge of using Microsoft Office programmes and databases.
  • Ability to plan, organise and manage own workload.
