You will be responsible for providing care and support to young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities in a Special Education School environment. The role requires a passionate person to bring a smile to the young peoples day!

Your role will require encouraging and promting independence of the individuals you are working with, working part of a strong cohesive team and engage the service users in fun and exciting activities. Also to work along side teachers and teaching assistants to encourage and inspire the service users in their education.

This mostly will require evening and night work but is flexible. The nature of this work will require personal care for the service users and they may be likely to exhibit challenging behaviour so a form of restraint and experience in similar environments is desirable.

All we ask for is 1 year experience in health and social care. Ideally you will hold practical First Aid training, a form of behaviour management training, manual handling training, and access to your own transport.. All applications are subject to enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
