Company Events Manager
Job Reference: 18-09
Contract Type: Initial 12-month Fixed-Term Maternity Cover
Location: Lincoln, with some travel
Practice Areas: Event Management, Marketing
Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role
Salary: Highly competitive, depending upon experience
The Role: We are excited to offer an amazing opportunity to be our Company Events Manager, initially offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave, working within a small and hands-on team, with responsibility and autonomy of each event from cradle to grave, covering every minor detail to an exceptional standard whilst enjoying the support of a professional and friendly team.
As the Company Events Manager you are responsible directly to the Company’s Head of Business Development (HoD BD) in supporting the Company’s global Business Development strategy.
You will be expected to plan, develop, manage and support trade, corporate, and hospitality events, both domestically and overseas in order to help the Company achieve its corporate aims.
Additionally, you will be expected to assist the HoD BD with the development of the Company marketing and communications strategies, and be responsible for managing marketing collateral and branded materials in line with relevant polices.
You will also have the opportunity to be involved in a number of BD team projects and in providing some Executive Assistant support to our CEO.
Your mission is ultimately to support the generation of sales and to help the Company achieve its growth and other corporate objectives through developing and leading the delivery of high-quality corporate events both in the UK and overseas.
The Person: We are highly selective and only recruit the brightest and most credible individuals who are seeking a rewarding career as part of an exceptional growing business.
We are seeking a confident, highly-motivated and energetic individual with relevant qualifications and/or experience in Events Management or a similar background, with outstanding communication skills.
You should be prepared to assume a comprehensive range of responsibilities, be capable of working independently with minimum supervision, be confident enough to research and then recommend pragmatic business-focused solutions, and have a ‘can-do’ attitude.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful applicant will be required to complete National Security Vetting to Security Check (SC) level, which will require criminal record, Security Service and credit reference checks. In addition, UK residency of at least 5 years will normally be required.
The Company: Inzpire is an award winning supplier of defence managed services and cutting-edge mission systems. We employ highly experienced Joint-Service personnel, who drive truly capable and relevant product and service offerings based on more than 1800 years of combined military experience, alongside a team of highly experienced defence engineers and business professionals who ensure that we develop and deliver solutions to the appropriate industry standards and as required by our customers.
The pedigree of our personnel, acquired through extensive military and industrial experience, ensures that our solutions are innovative and meet the needs of our customers now and into the future.
We are highly selective and only recruit the brightest and most credible individuals who share our values, want to forge a successful career in a dynamic expanding company and can deliver on our motto of ‘success through excellence’. Following our rating as ‘extraordinary’ for our employee engagement by Best Companies, we have recently been awarded both the 2018 Sunday Times ‘100 Best Small Companies to Work For’ and ‘Employee Wellbeing Award’.
The Location: The role, as part of our central business function, is located in an easily accessible, bright, modern Head Office to the West of Lincoln, and there will be a requirement for the successful candidate to travel across the UK, and sometimes overseas, in support of events activity, for periods of typically between a few days and a week.
The Package: If you pride yourself on personal accountability, want a role where there is nowhere to hide but plenty of space for you to stand out, and you are looking to forge a successful career in a dynamic expanding company, this could be the role for you.
In return we offer a highly competitive salary; a generous benefits package that includes a ground breaking uncapped leave programme granting a minimum of 30 days paid holiday plus 8 days Bank Holidays per year; private medical insurance; private dental insurance; death in service and business travel insurance; company contributions into a Group Personal Pension Scheme; funded role specific training; financial assistance with Continuing Professional Development courses; and an annual Profit and Performance Related Pay scheme.
The Company also participates in tax efficient Childcare Vouchers, Cycle to Work and Charitable Giving schemes.
If you have the required background and are interested in joining a high performing team we would be delighted to hear from you.
