BOARD MEMBER VACANCY

Cobalt Housing was established in 2003 and is a Charitable, Registered Provider that owns and manages 6,000 family homes for rent in the Fazakerley, Croxteth and Norris Green areas of Liverpool.

Cobalt Housing was determined to build on its success as the lead social landlord in the area and took the innovative route of demerging from a Group structure in September 2017. This move was to gain independence to enable it to focus on its neighbourhoods to help local people and sustain its communities.

This is an exciting time to join Cobalt Housing. As an independent organisation, the Board has a vital role to play in developing and embedding the organisation’s strategy and vision for the future, and in ensuring that Cobalt Housing delivers on its commitments to its customers.

Cobalt Housing is embarking on its new Corporate Strategy and is seeking to recruit two Board Members. The Board currently has strong levels of skills and experience and applications from varied backgrounds are welcomed. Cobalt Housing is particularly seeking new Board Members who will bring skills in Strategic Information Technology, Marketing and Communication and Finance.

Cobalt Housing welcomes applications from tenants and residents and is keen to receive applications from women and BME candidates who are currently under-represented on its Board.

Please note that all applications will be considered on the basis of candidates’ skills and experience.

The role is remunerated at £4,000 per annum and the time commitment for this position is approximately  2.5 days a month.

For more information about the role and to apply please contact

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Monday 2 July 2018

Interviews will be held during week commencing 16 July 2018.
