Benefits & Revenues Officers

We are seeking enthusiastic, self-starters to join our friendly and hard-working Revenues and Benefits Service based at Charnwood Council Offices in Loughborough.

We currently have vacancies in both our Benefits and Revenues teams and welcome applications from candidates with or without experience as we’ll provide you with top-notch training, in the classroom and on-the-job.

Joining our Benefits team, you’ll be responsible for assessing entitlement to Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support, including discretionary payments, self-employed claims, homeless persons and other complex areas of the caseload. Alternatively, as part of our Revenues team, you’ll be responsible for raising and collecting Council Tax, including working with customers to agree payment arrangements and recovery action where payments are overdue, court action, Attachments of Earnings and enforcement agent recovery.
