whg is one of the largest and most successful providers of high quality housing across the Midlands. Owning and managing around 21,000 properties across Walsall and surrounding areas, whg provides affordable, good quality homes and community-based services.

The housing world is changing almost every day and we face some of the most diverse challenges of any business. This is why it is so important to make sure we communicate and engage effectively with our customers and key stakeholders so they know about the role whg plays in providing quality homes in great neighbourhoods. With that in mind, we are looking for a dynamic and creative External Communication Specialist who can join our busy and innovative communications team.

This is an exciting role where you would be responsible for a range of external communications duties, including developing and implementing the whg PR and media strategy. Our strategy utilises a range of channels, and by doing this it helps to support and build the reputation and profile of whg.

You’ll have recent and relevant recent experience of working in external communications/PR, and you will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver award-winning results.

In return we ensure our colleagues receive a competitive salary and a great benefits package including 27 days annual leave, and choice of pension schemes, a health cash plan, and child care vouchers.

whg is committed to safer recruitment and to the protection and safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults and will conduct appropriate background checks where necessary.
