Nursery Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to join a well-established nursery group in East Sheen, South West London . The ideal candidate will have a hands-on management style, excellent communication and team building skill.

Person Specification:

Level 3 Childcare qualification or above

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role

Track record of involvement in Ofsted Inspections

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)

Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)

Some of the Nursery Manager responsibilities will include:

• Leading by example and managing day to day nursery operations
• Working closely with area manager and managing KPI's
• Building positive relationships with parents and key interfacing groups
• Developing a staff team, managing recruitment, induction, ongoing supervisions, conducting regular staff assessments, identifying and sourcing training needs
• Ensuring the nursery effectively embeds EYFS curriculum in practice
• Ensuring staff understand and adhere to all nursery policy and procedures
• Managing budgets and keep accurate records of staffing, payroll, banking, petty cash, issuing invoices and fee collection
• Managing Staff Rotas and meetings
• Maintaining accurate records to include accident, incident, medication, registers and risk assessment
• To ensure the nursery is running to its full capacity by effectively managing enquiries, conducting show-rounds, operating a waiting list, as appropriate
• Working 40 Hours per week
