This young and dynamic bookkeeping & accountancy practice is looking for a new member of their small team.
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
- Organised with a razor sharp attention to detail and ability to balance deadlines and workload effectively
- Confident using various computer programmes and able to pick up new systems quickly
- Keen and positive attitude, be interested in learning and progressing under training
- Committed and reliable, they are a small team and depend on each other's contributions and communication
- Flexible - as the company is new and growing rapidly, the role will be varied. This keeps things interesting and hopefully more enjoyable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive about collaborating with others, following procedures and keeping notes.
- Willing to pursue training and be self-disciplined and self-driven with respect to learning
The successful applicant's qualifications and experience will include:
- You will have a solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping
- Have experience in reconciling bank accounts, prepayments, accruals, debtors and creditors
- You will have at least 2 years' experience working either in accountancy practice, or in management accounting.
- Ideally you will have formal qualifications such as AAT/ICB qualified or ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified.
The position:
The successful candidate will be working for a dynamic young practice of Certified Accountants, using cloud based accounting systems and working with forward thinking clients with varying levels of involvement from year end accounts and tax, to bookkeeping, payroll, VAT and management accounts.
The client base is includes limited companies varying in size from pre-revenue start-ups to multi-million pound turnover companies. They also prepare personal tax returns for the directors of the companies we service.
The role forms an interesting mix between management accounting and practice accounting and would suite a candidate with experience in one looking to broaden their job role and experience into the other field.
This is a rare opportunity to get into this growing and exciting company on the ground floor.
Training contracts available.
Would consider part time applicants, dependent on experience.
Salary dependent on qualification and experience levels as well as study package required.
From GBP19,000 + study leave and fees to GBP28,000
