Graduate Microelectronic Design Engineer
Location: Oxfordshire (commutable from Oxford, Swindon, Reading)
Salary: GBP26,000 to GBP31,000 DOE

Our Client:
A provider of advanced technical consultancy and training across Microelectronic and Nanoelectronic Integrated Circuit (IC) Design design.
The role:
The role places a strong emphasis on technical knowledge, solving customer problems, providing expert advice, and communicating complex information in a clear and concise manner. Working with various EDA packages, you will investigate new EDA tool capabilities and pilot new EDA design methodologies with the overall aim of providing our customers with expert technical assistance in the efficient use of design tools and design methodologies for their designs. You will also develop and present advanced train-the-trainer style courses comprised of lectures, design examples and practical lab exercises to our customers in the use and correct application of these industry-standard design tools to create an effective integrated design flow.
Job Responsibilities:
* Providing expert technical assistance to our customers working with EDA design tools in your area of expertise.
* Evaluating new EDA tools, investigating new EDA tool capabilities and new design methodologies including piloting test chips
* Developing and presenting advanced train-the-trainer style courses consisting of lectures, design examples and practical exercises.
* Creating technical guides documenting advanced tool features and effective usage.
* Maintaining an up to date knowledge of relevant EDA design tools, latest developments and the future direction of the microelectronics, electronic systems or silicon photonics sector.
* Working with other team members to develop strategy, identify opportunities, establish business relationships and deliver our core services.
Job Requirements:
* A graduate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a similar subject, to a minimum of 2:1
* Familiarity with design flow as a circuit designer or as an EDA design flow specialist from either an industrial or university based environment
