Commercial Lawyer
Becoming a Commercial Lawyer with DCC Smart Metering:
DCC Smart metering are looking for a Commercial Lawyer with extensive EU Procurement law experience to work on a challenging full-time assignment for 3 months, based at our London office. The successful candidate for the Commercial Lawyer contract will report to the Commercial Lead on a high-profile programme with a dotted line to the Head of Legal. A great opportunity to be involved with dynamic, talented team on a highly regarded project.
What you will do:

The Commercial Lawyer will be responsible for providing advisory and transactional legal support for a high-profile programme within DCC
*
The Commercial Lawyer's responsibilities will involve acting as a commercially astute and trusted advisor to the programme's commercial and procurement teams.
*
This will involve advising on the contract terms for operational agreements and the high-level negotiation of a enduring agreement for the programme.
*
Advising on general procurement issues under the terms of the DCC's procurement policy
Your experience will include:
* Excellent technical knowledge of EU procurement law, and experience of drafting and negotiating large scale infrastructure projects across multiple suppliers ('tower' operating model)
*
Extensive PQE experience and confident taking a high degree of responsibility for delivery of the legal support to the commercial and procurement teams
* Worked at a top 30 law firm (by revenue), ideally in the City
