What will I be responsible for?
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and effectiveness of the site Quality & Environmental systems ensuring continuing certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety. In addition, the Quality Officer will carry out microbiological testing, internal audits, ensure compliance of HACCP system, conduct product complaint investigations and support with external audits and suppliers. You will also provide technical support to Production Team Leaders on product quality.
Who are we looking for?
Quality is high on our agenda and we need an experienced QA Officer to promote the quality culture at our Cumbernauld factory on a 6 month FTC.
-Experience working within an FMCG environment, ideally food and drink based.
-Proven knowledge and understanding of requirements of BRC Global Standard for Food Safety.
-Knowledge and understanding of HACCP and BRC quality systems.
-Proven knowledge and understanding of the relevant statutory regulations (i.e. Food Hygiene, Food Safety).
-Strong IT skills required.
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to learn quickly, use initiative and have good problem solving skills.
