MSC UK - Import Customs Clearance Supervisor
MSC UK prides itself on being the 'Employer of Choice' within the shipping industry and we have an exciting opportunity for an Import Customs Clearance Supervisor, to join our Customer Service team.
The successful applicant will lead the Import Customs Clearance Team ensuring we deliver the best possible experience to MSC's customers over the phone and email, ensuring exceptional Customer Service at all times. Day-to-day supervision of the department with an emphasis on leading, motivating, coaching and developing the team. Encourage team members to discuss ideas and process improvement suggestions. Instil a 'can do' and 'flexible solution driven' approach within the team at all times.
We believe the successful Import Customs Clearance Supervisor should have the following skills:

• Full understanding of Import Customs Clearance Procedures
• Knowledge of CNS & Destin8
• The ability to set, meet and exceed targets.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft programmes
• Able to collate, analyse, interpret and distribute detailed numerical data
• Ability to build lasting relationships

• Ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines.

The key tasks for the Import Customs Clearance Supervisor are:
• You will be responsible for the daily running and management of the team through the effective use of resources.
• Ensure tasks are completed within agreed deadlines
• Ensure excellent Customer service is delivered at all times to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained
• Optimise the team's tasks and the customer experience.
• Monitor performance and ensure KPI's are met at both individual and team level.
• Motivate team members and provide clear direction to the team.
• Identify training needs and provide coaching.
• Identify and implement improvement and development.
• Ensure that calls and emails are answered by staff within agreed time scales and in an appropriate manner.
• Conduct one to one performance sessions and the end of year appraisals.
• Liaising with supervisors and resolve issues.
• Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
