Role and Responsibilities
As part of a continued focus on developing and modernising our wider operational team, we are looking for a Payroll Assistant (one post) to join our Finance Team.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will assist in the processing of the monthly payroll, ensuring all payments including staff expenses are made within Onward policy and procedures. You will assist the team in maintaining and updating the payroll and pensions systems, processing the monthly payroll and preparing BACS payments for staff and statutory bodies.
You will assist in the delivery an efficient and effective payroll and pensions service to the business and provide relevant financial information to support operational teams and Business Plan objectives.
It is essential you have good knowledge of payroll processes and systems, alongside good knowledge of Microsoft systems. You should be committed to team working, with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. You should have strong verbal and written communications skills.
