Instrument Engineer/Technician

Our client is an established supplier of Medical Devices to the NHS and Private Sector Hospitals in the UK as well as numerous countries around the world. Currently they are looking to expand their Surgical Instrument manufacture and repair capacity at their Chapeltown Factory in Sheffield.

Currently there are 2 vacancies for Surgical Instrument Engineers/Technicians. 

General responsibilities will include manufacture and repair of surgical instruments and associated parts, including inspection and testing.

Interested candidates will enjoy working within a professional environment and have previous workshop experience, a passion for quality, a professional and flexible attitude and a desire to learn and continually improve.

General requirements for the role are;

  • Bench Metalworking using engineering hand tools
  • General small parts machining skills and experience (incl. turning, milling, drilling, grinding)
  • Surface finishing skills (glazing and polishing)
  • An eye for detail and quality workmanship

An understanding of technical drawings is desirable but not essential.   Candidates need not possess all the necessary skills and product knowledge as full training will be provided.

 

Salary is dependant on experience
