Children's Support Worker - Bedford

We have an exciting opportunity to work within a residential setting for children in the Bedford area. This role will involve working with children aged 8-18 a respite service. This includes children with a variety of learning disabilities, including autism. The service is looking for someone that can consistently undertake shifts on a part time basis depending on the needs of the home.

You`ll be working closely to support children in their development and daily needs. This is a very rewarding role and gives you the opportunity to really make a difference to young people`s lives. Working both individually and as part of a team you`ll carry out activities to encourage independence and promote socialising. This includes ensuring a safe and stimulating environment, promoting self-esteem, safeguarding and personal care.

For this role we require you to have a minimum of 12 months experience in working with children and young people. Team Teach training is also needed to be eligible for this role. We require an enhanced DBS, however we can assist you in applying for this.
