1x Full time officer (4 - 6 months)  37 hour per week

We have an exciting development opportunity to work as a Customer Service Officer in our Customer Service Team at Oadby and Wigston Borough Council.

The full role is to provide advice and guidance to residents both face to face and over the telephone.

The successful candidate will have at least 6 months experience in a customer facing environment, dealing with customers face to face or over the telephone. The successful candidate will also have the following attributes:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively with persons at all levels
  • Excellent written skills, effective organisation skills and good attention to detail
  • Excellent IT Skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases and using the internet
  • Good problem solving skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • The ability to work as part of a team and work on own initiative with minimum supervision
  • A flexible attitude and a genuine desire to help customers
