We seek an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Cover team. You will be responsible for the management of classes when the regular teacher is absent, ensuring that learning is taking place and all students are making progress. You will be required to oversee classes across the full curriculum although individual strengths will be utilised where possible. When cover is not required you will provide support in other areas of the school.
You should possess a calm and confident manner and have evidence of a good standard of literacy, numeracy and IT skills. Working as a cover supervisor is an excellent way to gain classroom experience if you are considering training to become a teacher or looking to secure a teaching contract in the near future.
Hours: 30 per week, during term-time plus 5 days for training and development.
