Our client is one of Europe’s largest independent soft tissue converters with manufacturing capacity in excess of over 100,000 tonnes per annum.

They manufacture a wide range of household and away-from-home paper products from their purpose-built production facility in Lancashire. Paper products including Toilet Rolls, Kitchen Towels and Facial Tissues are manufactured to the highest levels of quality in brands and private labels utilising the latest technological advancements.

They are looking for experienced Machine Operators to join them at their new facility in Leyland, near Preston, Lancashire.

Responsible for the operation of converting line equipment (Bagger\Wrapper\Supporting Reel Changes) and working in line with the production schedule, you will maintain Housekeeping, Health & Safety and Quality Standards and operate process equipment. Complying with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and ensuring converting equipment is run at optimum performance, you will complete hourly quality control checks and ensure all paperwork is completed, reporting any issues to the crew leader.

The successful candidate will be an experienced production operator who has ideally worked in a similar environment to Paper converting, with complex, production lines. With 1 Years FMCG experience in similar role and a positive, can-do attitude, you will be willing to learn new skills, have good verbal communication skills and be able to work 12 hours shift patterns; 2 days, 2 nights.

In the role you will work 12 hour shifts on a rotating basis, averaging 40 hours per calendar week.
