HR Officer / HR Manager (6 Months contract)

Our client is are seeking an immediately available candidate to join their HR team on a fixed term 6-month contract. You will assist and support a busy HR function with the key aim to provide a professional and comprehensive HR Service at all times.

Your day will vary and you will have the opportunity to be involved in a number of HR projects as well as support the day-to-day operational aspects of HR. You will need to be able to work as part of a team but also autonomously with clear direction.

You role will involve creating and up-dating HR policies, supporting with lunch and learn sessions, general HR administration and various HR related tasks.

Key duties:
Provide high quality HR advice and administrative support
Support HR projects
Effectively prioritise workload and manage conflicting demands
Support by checking monthly payroll as and when required
Facilitation of lunch and learn sessions on relevant HR topics
Actively participate in meetings providing HR data, information and sharing of ideas as and when required by HR Director

What you'll need:

Background working in a HR Department in either a HR Officer or HR Advisor capacity
Background working with confidential data and maintaining confidentiality
Knowledge of HR resources, functions and procedures
CIPD Qualification desirable but not essential

Personal attributes

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to respond effectively and confidentially to sensitive issues
Ability to remain calm and professional at all times
