Our conference business is growing and we are recruiting for another member of staff to join our friendly and professional Conference & Events team.
Conference & Events Coordinator
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week
Starting Salary: £21,227 – £21,863 per annum
Based: Cambridge
The Conference & Events Office
During term times, staff in the Conference & Events Office organise a variety of College functions, formal dinners, meetings and day conferences. Out of term, the College also welcomes residential conference guests, who are an important part of our revenue, enabling the College to support our students and provide the best facilities.
About the Role
Reporting to the Conference & Events Assistant Manager, the successful applicant will work with the conference and events team, coordinating all necessary administrative arrangements, from initial enquiry through to post-event feedback, to ensure all of our customers receive an efficient, professional and friendly service at all times, which exceeds their expectations. You’ll be part of a team that makes sure each of our customers feel special, and ensure they leave looking forward to their next visit. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in events management.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking someone with drive and enthusiasm, a critical eye for detail and the ability to cope with a fast-paced and challenging environment. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with people confidently and effectively on the telephone and face to face. You’ll also be a team player, willing to assist other team members when necessary, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
