Our client is now recruiting for a Supervisor to be based predominantly at their Nottingham hub site in Castle Donington.

Their Supervisors play an essential part in their commitment to achieve “total customer satisfaction” therefore you will need to demonstrate a passion for delivering an exceptional service to their clients and customers. They believe that the way to deliver this is through a strong work ethic and great leadership skills.

You will be required to provide management support to the senior management within the depot for both the Hub site in Castle Donington and at the store in Nottingham. You will have responsibility for a team of Warehouse Operatives and Delivery Crew. You will constantly be looking at how they can enhance their performance, increase profitability, ensuring full compliance to business processes and legislation whilst upholding excellent levels of customer service.

This is a 7-day a week operation site and your normal working hours will be 40 hours per week, 5 days from 7 on a rota including weekends and bank holidays, so flexibility is a key requirement.

Successful candidates will have the following:

Supervisory experience in FMCG logistics or transport operations, ideally home delivery,
Good communicator and influencing skills,
Good planning organisation skills with the ability to prioritise to achieve results,
Good coaching and counselling skills,
Self-motivated,
Good level of computer literacy,
Good geographical knowledge of local area,
Knowledge and understanding of transport legislation is desirable.
