Software Assurance / Trainee Tester-Developer

This company is looking for a diligent person with good attention to detail to help with the delivery of new features and functionality within several IT systems.

The principal function they are looking to fill is broadly titled Software Assurance, which encompasses parts of Project Management, Software Design, Testing and Documentation.

The role will involve working with clients and developers to prepare feature / functional specifications, following the development progress, testing the software and identifying issues and finally producing functional help documentation.

Additionally, a candidate with the right aptitude would become involved in some of the design, development and rework as well as various technically administrative tasks.

This is a small but growing company and as such expects all staff to become involved in normal business operations including answering the telephone and speaking with clients. There is also scope for the right candidate to become involved in Office Management activities.

Overall they are looking for a person who is creative and organised with good skills in written english and with an eye for the details. No experience of software development or testing is necessary, good GCSE results in Maths, English or Science would be advantageous.

A Part Time appointment may be considered for the right candidate.
