A growing accountancy practice situated in Wimbledon (with another office in Cape Town) is looking for a bookkeeper or accounts assistant to join their team.
Ongoing training will be provided, but previous bookkeeping experience is essential.
Practice experience and previous experience in all round accounting functions will be beneficial.
Responsibilities Include:
- General accounting work and administration
- Bank statement uploads to accounting software
- Bank allocations
- Bank reconciliations
- Journal postings
- Payroll and pensions
- Communicating with clients
- Communicating with HMRC and Companies House
- Assist with preparation of annual financial statements and management accounts
- Quarterly checks on accuracy of allocations in accounting software
- Companies House related work, e. submission of Confirmation Statements, changing client details on Companies House, etc.
- Assisting accountants as and when needed
Profile:
- Hardworking person who enjoys being part of a team
- Looking to build a career in accounting
- Consistent and disciplined attitude
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Xero is a benefit
- Excel skills is a benefit
- Strong IT skills
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
