We are looking to appoint an Assistant Contracts Manager to help to manage a number of teams who look after some of the most prestigious sites throughout the South West. Our HQ is in Aztec West but you will be mobile so you can be based within an hour or so of Bristol.

Nurture provides landscape maintenance teams at some of the UK's most prestigious commercial centres as well as some of the most iconic public spaces. Since starting in 2008 we now turnover in excess of GBP65 million and have over 900 employees who are building their careers with us. We strive to maintain landscapes to complement both their environment and the character of each venue.

Job Purpose

To build proactive relationships with the rest of the management team and develop our regional grounds maintenance contracts within the Greater London region - covering all our services from Grounds maintenance and Soft landscaping to Winter gritting and Arboriculture works.

Required Skills & Experience

You will need experience of direct client liaison, some management experience of both static and mobile teams (both directly employed and sub-contractors) and some proactive estimating for new business. Most importantly, you will need to demonstrate your knowledge, enthusiasm and skill for landscape management.

We are looking for a strong communicator who has excellent client relationship skills together with the ability to lead by example. Your package will include competitive salary, bonus scheme, share options, company car and contributory pension scheme.

Duties and Responsibilities

We will be expecting you to:
?? Help to contribute proactively to the effective running of the Grounds Management Contracts across the region, making recommendations as necessary

?? Contribute to the leadership required to meet our corporate objectives

?? Build and maintain excellent relationships with our client and comply with meeting, reporting and other objectives as agreed.

?? Help to maintain a sound organisational structure, recruiting, training and motivating staff within the contract as required

?? Monitor the performance of our operation through the proper company accounting and reporting procedures

?? Safeguard our corporate image and credibility

?? Take responsibility for health and safety and actively participate in the maintenance and improvement of our overall company Health and Safety culture

?? Ensure the maintenance of our Quality Standards to ensure the quality system is maintained to BS EN 9001 standard

Expected Skills / Qualifications

Minimum of three years management experience of teams within corporate landscape management

Minimum two years practical work experience in landscape maintenance
A good knowledge of static site contract management
A solid and practical understanding of the importance of health & safety at work
A good knowledge of horticulture and / landscape maintenance
A relevant horticultural / landscaping qualification would help your application
A full driving licence

The key service of Nurture Landscapes Ltd is the provision of an external landscape maintenance service to the Corporate and Public Sector throughout the UK. This represents 90% of our business.

Landscape Maintenance to the Corporate and Private Sector including Tree Surgery
This is the provision of a landscape maintenance service to all types of corporate sites e.g. business parks, corporate headquarters, hotels, superstores, etc. This service is provided via a static service or mobile service.

Landscape Maintenance to the Public Sector
This is the provision of grounds maintenance to schools and housing associations.

Interior Plants, Cut Flowers including Christmas trees
This is the provision of interior plant displays and cut flowers to many of our corporate/business park/hotel clients.

Design and Build Construction
A Design and Build service is provided to our existing contract base seeking to improve/upgrade their sites.
