Our end goal is to create a manufacturing centre of excellence, with a leading environment and we are looking for a Quality Manager to help drive this. We have investment proposals which we have already started to commit to, as well as recently securing a substantial business project with a major OEM, which means that we will also have a significant sales revenue stream, so our path is already well paved.
Prodrive Advanced Technologies is a performance engineering consultancy which delivers varied technical projects to different customers across a range of sectors, including; automotive, aerospace, military, research and development and marine sectors. We accelerate understanding and take on challenges others shy away from.
We need a Quality and CCC Manager who can lead the way and insprie and motivate our quality assurance team to ensure that the business operates in line with our Quality Management System, and our products are made to the required quality standards expected. We are looking for someone who shares our drive to succeed and strives for the business to be fully compliant with current quality accreditations and regulatory requirements, and commands that all current and future quality objectives are achieved, including the achievement of additional quality accreditations.
Key responsibilities:
Formulate and implement the Quality strategy for the ATE Business, with schedules and resources identified, aligned to both short term and long-term needs of the business.
Promote and drive problem solving within the business utilising proven methodologies to implement, verify and validate permanent solutions to known concerns
Identifying, formulating and conducting quality training and awareness events
Lead the culture change to introduce more effective use of quality enhancement tools such as SPC, FMEAs, Control Plans, MSA and other advanced quality methods.
Introducing and leading process improvements and systems of measurement to improve quality performance, whilst coaching HOD's to take eventual ownership within their functional BOP's.
Actively Managing, promoting and participating in Continuous Improvement activities and tracking progress for ATE
* Manage, direct, motivate and develop all staff within the QA Department ensuring the recruitment, management, training and motivation of staff according to company procedures, policy and employment law.
* Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets demonstrating continual improvement in cost control without compromise to quality, safety or customer service.
* To maintain quality system documentation (Data Document Control) to meet internal Quality Management System requirements, including reporting on & monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
* To manage internal and external audit scheduling across the company. This will also involve completing some internal system and process audits against ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9100 & TS 16949, as applicable to site scope to verify system compliance and maintain current certification.
* To carry out Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities as required including preparation and compilation of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation (ISIRs, FAIRs, Process Control Plans, etc) as required by customers.
* To support development of business operating processes, procedures, guidelines, work instructions and forms in line with system and process improvement activities including actions to enable certification to new Quality Standards.
* To liaise with all departments as appropriate, supporting them on project/programme delivery and control, in line with the existing Business Operating Procedures.
* To assist with the training and induction of new starters in order to ensure that all members of staff are properly briefed on the Quality Assurance requirements of their area.
* To ensure the business control plans and FMEAs are updated regularly and used as live working documents
* To assist in the programme planning and management of all production programmes.
This position will be base at our purpose-built HQ in Banbury.
