Design Executive - International
This is an exciting opportunity to join WHSmith working within our Brand Design team in our Travel Head Office in Holborn. We're a fast paced retail business looking for a proactive, organised professional to manage and support the production and delivery of in-store navigation POS material. This would be an ideal role for a highly motivated individual who has some experience within marketing looking to develop their skills with a growing International retailer!
What you'll do
As the design executive you will support the Design Manager in the delivery of innovative and differentiated creative solutions in keeping with the WHSmith brand standards. You will receive briefs from the buyers & international team which you will develop and challenge to create a clear brief which you will then gain creative direction on from the Group Design Director.
You will work from initial concept to artworking, print and final delivery and installation in store, briefing designers and artworkers on the project ensuring the creative and brand approval process is followed. As part of this role you will set up and manage workload to deliver all projects within budget and on top, ensuring the approved design is followed through to mock-up / final artwork; and print delivery to stores is briefed to execute.
Who we're looking for
You'll have previous campaign management experience gained within a design, marketing, advertising, artwork or print environment (either in-house or agency) coupled with excellent project management skills. You'll be an engaging communicator, able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Customers will be on the forefront of your mind, so an excellent commercial awareness of consumer trends is vital. You must be confident managing a high volume of work and be a self starter with the initiative to get things done efficiently, accurately and to tight deadlines.
