Support Worker / Care Worker

A lady who is living independently in her own home in the South Manchester area is looking to employ an extra member of staff in addition to her existing Personal Assistants to support her both at home, in the community, with all aspects of her care, including personal care and P.E.G. feeds.

Duties will also include accompanying her whilst out in the community, and days out, trips to the cinema, theatre and cafes.

She is an essential wheelchair user due to a severe brain injury following an accident. She has extremely limited mobility and communicates non-verbally.  

The ability to work with a person-centred approach is essential, as is a calm and caring nature.

Previous experience is desirable, although full training will be provided for all successful applicants.

5 to 6 fixed 12 hour weekend shifts worked over a 4 week rota. Current hourly rate of pay is £8.67. Additional hours may be available. Job share would be considered.
