Warehouse Operative / Warehouse Assistant / Despatch Operator

Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Location: Eccleshill, Bradford

Salary: £8 per hour

Job type: Permanent, Full time - 37 hrs per week

Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure FLT oil levels etc are checked and acted upon on a daily / weekly basis
• To receive any orders to the warehouse from various couriers, to check and put into stock and complete any paperwork relating to the deliveries, Purchase Order etc.
• To pick, pack and despatch all orders generated from the admin office to go via courier, to log all information onto computer courier database.
• To ensure the warehouse is kept clean and tidy in line with Health & Safety regulations.
• To build BOM's from production runs
• To assist in BOM costing's
• To assist in all monthly stock takes
• To maintain stock in correct locations
• To ensure all stock received is correctly labelled with product code and batch numbers.
• To assist when necessary in the warehouse or any other tasks as requested by the Directors or Warehouse Supervisor.
• Responsible for making, picking and despatching of all samples

The Candidate:

Essential

• Self-Motivation/personal time management
• Previous experience in a similar role
• The ability to work both as a team member and alone
• The ability to complete written documentation relating to the position
• To hold a current counter balance forklift certificate

Preferred

• Basic knowledge of computers
• To hold a current clean driving licence
• Knowledge of SAP or Sage

Disposition/personal attributes

• Ability to communicate with people at all levels.
• Must have the ability to produce quality sample requests at given times.
• Must have an eye for detail, as you will be required to read specific information sheets relating to either samples for customers or orders to be picked and despatched using a computer-based courier system.
