This company is specifically looking for an enthusiastic Warehouse Assistant who is keen to progress and to be part of the team who are developing an already thriving business.

Based in Uckfield, East Sussex, this company sells to a broad range of top name clients, products which include High Temperature Exhaust Insulation, Fuel Handling Equipment, AdBlue Handling Equipment, Exhaust Spark Arrestors, Air Intake Shutdown Valves, Air Intake Pre-cleaners, Exhaust Catalysts & Soot Filters.

The Warehouse Assistant will have a varied role and they expect the successful candidate to be quickly picking and packing sales orders, managing goods in, booking couriers and raising non-conformances where necessary, with the minimum of supervision from the Warehouse Manager.

Initially, the role will be Warehouse based but for the right candidate, through company training and development, candidates could expect their role to progress to incorporate administrative tasks including taking telephone orders and their processing pre-despatch.

Although the role does not specifically require previous Warehouse experience, as full training will be given, experience would be advantageous. It would also be advantageous, because of their product range, if the candidate had a good understanding of the Internal Combustion Engine.

Required skills
- Proactive, self-motivated individual capable of working on their own initiative in a constantly changing and pressurised environment but not afraid to seek advice when necessary to resolve difficult problems.
- Good IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office etc.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation required
- The ability to work as a member of a team and to provide and receive input from other team members is vital.
- Ensure that the Company's policies, rules, procedures and obligations are observed in carrying out the above duties.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- picking and wrapping parcels for dispatch by courier.
- Receiving deliveries, stock checking, and putting stock into designated bin locations
- Resolving delivery issues and liaising with the distribution centre
- Full control of inventory
- Supervising loading and unloading of goods from vehicles. The role involves an element of manual handling of bulky and heavy items and the use of manual handling equipment.

Status: Permanent - Monday to Friday 08.45 - 16.45 exc. Public Holidays
Package: Basic Salary GBP18-20K dependent on experience, Bonus Scheme, Private Health Cover, 24 Days Holiday, Free parking
