Salary: £20,456 - £23,769

Contract Type: Permanent, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

We are currently recruiting for a Trainer Facilitator – Study Programme. The successful candidate will actively recruit, facilitate and teach groups of students in Employability, Functional, Personal, and Social Development Skills. You will assess, mark and IQA students’ qualification portfolios, meeting the Awarding Bodies and internal procedures and requirements. Support students with vocational tasters, work experience, community projects, enterprises projects and progression into positive outcomes to Further Education, Traineeships, Apprenticeships or employment. Contribute to curriculum development and implementation of pastoral and welfare systems provided for students. Continue personal development in the areas of both subject knowledge and teaching/instructing methods.  Develop and maintain good working relationships with external and internal stakeholders. Undertake such duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with grade at initial place of work or at other locations in the College "catchment" area.

You will need relevant teaching experience and qualifications in the subject area, as well as experience reengaging and working with challenging and hard-to-reach people. You will be computer literate and familiar with word, excel and database systems, as well as have knowledge of recruitment and developing appropriate teaching delivery materials. Ideally, you will be educated to level 4 or equivalent, have a functional skills teaching and/or IQA qualification, and have experience of working with 16-18 year old learners.
