Housework and Cooking Vacancy

We are looking for a single person or a couple to help with housework and cooking in exchange for free accommodation. We will pay for any hours worked over the number agreed in lieu of rent.

We’re on the edge of a private estate above Lacock, Wiltshire: your accommodation would take the form of a small, cosy private cottage – with woodland walks. Photos of the cottage can be sent on request.

Duties would include:                           

• Looking after the family dog (a well-behaved three-year-old spaniel)
• Feeding the hens and cleaning the coup
• Cooking and preparing some meals
• Light housework as in sorting fires + logs, clearing kitchen in the mornings. We have a cleaner.

We are happy to be flexible and the precise arrangement will depend a bit on the circumstances and skills of the successful applicant. Our current helper does a certain number of hours per week in exchange for rent and is paid for extra hours.
