An opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Manager to join our team based at in Sheffield.  This role covers sites throughout the Midlands.

Within the role, you will ensure all business and service level requirements are achieved for the designated business units and will ensure that the service provided to the facilities adheres to the contract specification and is managed in compliant and safe manner. You will also be responsible for managing the effective and efficient utilisation of all available resources including labour, materials, plant, vehicles and other resources.

Complying with Mears Group Policies, Processes and systems, you will be responsible for monitoring the use of Sub-Contractors and suppliers alongside controlling the performance of all hard services labour resources.

In addition, the Facilities Manager will assist in the broader operational management of the service and, where required, will provide specialist input across FM contracts to include assisting with Bid/Tenders as required alongside complying with IS0 9001, 14001 and 18001 at all times.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have previous experience of managing a multi-site operation within a contract environment and will ideally hold a BIFM membership or be willing to work towards this. With a strong understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance you will have the ability to prioritise your workload in a range of complex areas and will have experience of managing Staff, Operatives and Sub-Contractors.

Candidates for this role should also have relevant Health and Safety knowledge along with a positive and can do attitude. The role also requires a degree of flexibility as longer hours of work may be required and the role includes travel.

Candidates for this role will hold a full UK driving licence
