Our Client has an exciting opportunity to join their highly successful ARR team as Taxi Contract Manager based in Manchester, Birmingham or Glasgow. The successful applicant will work closely with the preferred ARR taxi supplier to ensure service levels are met, and their customers are receiving the best value for money managed taxi service.

The Role:
  • Day to day management of the current taxi contracts with ScotRail and West Midlands Trains and any additional ARR taxi contracts awarded in the future
  • Develop close working relationship with the ARR preferred taxi supplier and a deep understanding of their managed taxi business
  • Analysis of taxi management information and production of headline reports for the Director of ARR as required
  • Recommend areas of cost savings and operational efficiencies to Train Operating Companies
  • Reduce the taxi rate card price through negotiation with the preferred taxi supplier
  • Check and reconcile invoice backing sheets, work with ARR Business Support to prepare invoices and liaise with Abellio Shared Services to ensure payments are made/received as per contract terms
  • Day to day management of the Company Products and other final mile services developed in the future
  • This is a senior role within ARR and the Taxi Contract Manager will be expected to contribute fully to the ARR Leadership Team
  • Be responsible for own health and safety and others in the work environment at all times
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the needs of the role

The Candidate:
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Contract Management/Relationship Management experience preferably within the taxi/rail/bus industry
  • Have strong IT skills, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint  and Excel
  • Have excellent communications skills, including written and verbal
  • Be able to work accurately and efficiently when under pressure, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Able to work as a part of a team or equally on own initiative
  • Have a flexible approach and be prepared to work outside normal hours to meet deadline
