Business Analyst - Data and MI
West Sussex
New opportunity for a Business Analyst with in business intelligence, reporting, analytics and operating model in the Insurance Sector supporting a business transformation programme. This role carries out a full range of analytical activities to support the delivery for a large transformation, with focus on Data and MI the customer for these deliverable is primary the Chief Data Office. Your knowledge and insight will enable best practice from the wider MI industry to be applied.
You will work with business users and technology delivery teams to understand/create the MI requirements and deliverable including documentation of artefacts required to support Data and MI Operating Model.
Key deliverables/artefeacts for this role may include (but not limited to):
1 Maintenance of implementation checklists and execution of transition to BAU activities
2 Driving forward the completion of Data and MI BAU route to live and SDLC processes
3 Completion of documentation required for BAU support and KT for Data office on new tooling, processes and technology stack.
4 Production of materials and delivery of communication to DO and Business for Data and MI.
5 Ongoing management of Operational risks associated with Data & MI
6 Co-ordination of E2E Agile change testing for MI across all components.
7 Uplift of the Target Operating Model and associated processes.
Key Skills:
* You will understand project delivery life cycle and knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
* You will be able to communicate detailed/complex information and use your expertise to contribute to achieving business outcomes.
* You must be experienced in all level of project execution being able to assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedule.
* You must be able to take input from management, be able to work independently and not require micro management.
* You must be experienced in creating transition to BAU documentation.
* You must have an understanding of BI tools, Datastax, SAS, OBI, Business Objects, Qlikview etc and some understanding of ETL tools such as SSIS, ODI, DataStage etc.
