BI Developer (MicroStrategy)

As part of our expansion of data analytics and reporting an opportunity has opened up for an experienced BI Developer specialising in MicroStrategy. As the BI Developer you will lead the development and consultancy for Microstrategy reporting. As the BI Developer (MicroStrategy) you will be responsible for: Working with internal stakeholders to gather and document business analytics requirements including: data, layout, and delivery requirements. Creating semantic layer to support business analytics requirements. Documenting the design of models and tracing the design solution to the initial requirement. Supporting architectural guidance, technological recommendations, reusable solutions within the various portfolios within BI. Evaluate new features, and provide direction to implement the same Lead or participate in Proof-of-Concept projects The successful BI Developer (MicroStrategy) must possess: Basic SQL query writing with an understanding of enterprise databases Knowledge and experience of the full development lifecycle including: Gathering and documenting requirements Creating data modelling solutions Documenting the design of models Experience of data warehouse design including relational, dimensional, logical and physical data modelling for data warehouses Extensive experience in developing reports, dashboards, and cubes in MicroStrategy version 9.x,10.x Supporting architectural guidance and technological recommendations Evaluating new MicroStrategy features, and provide direction to implement the same - provided by Dice BI, DATA MODELLING, SQL
