Orchard Materials is a leading supplier of high integrity metals, based in Thornbury, North of Bristol. We operate in the Defence, Nuclear and Power Generation sectors of industry and distribute globally.

We are looking for a Technical Sales Estimator to join our existing Nuclear team based in Thornbury.

The role will include reviewing technical standards, specifications & drawings and you will be preparing detailed proposals and quotations. Communication with our customers and supply chain will be necessary either by email, telephone or in person.

The ability to read technical drawings at some level will be an advantage, but crucially a good attitude towards learning about new products and an outgoing personality with a good sense of humour will help you fit in.

Excellent written and verbal English is a prerequisite for this position and the ability to multi task, prioritise, meet strict deadlines and show initiative is most important. Strong planning and organisational skills will help.

An Engineering / Technical background would also be an advantage

As a general overview the duties will include –

• Interrogation of technical drawing, standards and specifications
• Preparing technical estimates and quotations.
• Liaising with Customers and Suppliers

  Working hours -                Monday to Thursday      8.30am to 5.00pm

                                  Friday                                    8.30am to 3.00pm

  Salary – Circa £30,000

  Security Information – Due to security restrictions, the candidate will need to be a British National.
