The Department of Biostatistics is seeking a talented and self-motivated individual to take on the role of Information Systems (IS) Manager, directly managing a team of seven IS staff. The purpose of this post is to head the Department of Biostatistics Information Systems team and develop departmental strategy to ensure the provision of secure, regulation compliant state-of-the-art data collection and management processes supporting the research activities of the Department of Biostatistics, Clinical Trials Research Centre and the COMET Initiative.
The nature of the work that is undertaken by the IS team requires that you can communicate effectively with the whole range of specialities within a health research environment, including health professionals, statisticians, data managers and study coordinators. You should have a degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience), a passion for technology, and have an understanding of how advances in techniques can be applied to the development of applications for health research.
