My local authority client are looking for an experienced Gardener/Grounds Worker to join them in their Coalville location on a full time but temporary basis, working Monday - Thursday 07.30 - 16.00, Friday 07.30 - 12.30 (36 hours) paying GBP8.57 per hour from as soon as possible until 2nd September (unless extended).
To be considered, you must have previous experience in a similar role and must have petrol powered machinery experience.
The purpose of the role is to undertake all necessary Grounds Maintenance and Grounds Work and will include some of the following responsibilities:
- Propagation and Greenhouse works
- Clearance of watercourses
- All aspects of Hard/Soft Landscaping and maintenance
- Assisting in minor tree works
- Assisting in minor repairs to buildings
- Cleaning and painting pavilions as required
- Open and close gates and barriers in parks and cemeteries
- Assisting in burial procedure as required
To be considered for the role you must:
- Have experience of using powered pedestrian equipment
- Have sufficient IT skills to deal with emails, word documents and spreadsheets when required
- Have previous experience of working within a Grounds Maintenance environment
- Have a full UK driving licence
- Be willing and able to work as part of a team and individually
- Be confident in decision making and using your own initiative
- Be flexible within the job role as required
- Be accurate and methodical
- Be polite and willing to interact appropriately with customers
