Registered Nurse RGN - Care Home

Are a RGN or RMN? Are you a deputy manager with clinical experience in a nursing home? If this is a yes, this will be perfect fit for you.

BS social care is advertising on behalf of a client who is seeking a RGN or RMN or deputy manager with a pin. You will be joining a well ran care home that has provided a specialist care service to adults with dementia, metal health and learning disability for over 30 years

Main Purpose

  • To lead on the Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation of individual care plans.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • To participate in a range of assessments including risk and self-harm.
  • To supervise a designated number of staff and assume a mentorship role for Care Pathway staff.
  • To assist in standard setting and evaluating quality outcomes.
  • To assist with the day-to-day Management of the service and any future development of the service.
  • To take a lead in medication management ensuring that all repeat prescriptions are managed and raised appropriately.
  • Manage all medical equipment audits and ensuring that all replacements required after use are ordered and are of a good standard.

What you need to have

Essential

  • Qualifications: Registered Nurse (Mental Health) or RGN to take a lead with physical health and NVQ 5 in health and social care is desirable
  • Experience: Experience as Team Leader in Mental Health or Elderly care.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of therapeutic approaches that may include knowledge in non-pharmacological therapies. Knowledge of Care Programme Approach and associated statutory legislation. Knowledge of standard setting process.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Flexible approach to care. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to work flexibly over the 24-hour period. Ability to use the clinical supervision process effectively. Ability to identify and use opportunities for self- development. Commitment to the values of equal opportunities, policy and practice.

Benefits

As a remuneration of your hard work you will paid a salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience and your capability to effectively sell yourself effectively in an interview, 33 days AL incl bank holidays, Pension schemes and many more.
