Head of Sales and Business Development

Accountable for identifying and implementing opportunities that generate new revenue and increase profitability to drive occupancy and business growth for Fennies Nurseries Ltd. * Reports to the CEO * Responsible for the Sales / Enquiries Executive Main duties * Optimise commercial performance of the nursery settings across the group, identify new business opportunities and increase revenue and profitability * Action commercial development opportunities and monitor success * Set, manage and evaluate nursery occupancy targets to enable optimal business performance and growth * Identify operational efficiencies across the group in order to increase revenue and profitability; occupancy planning, forward planning, room transitions * Support and train the Nursery Management teams to implement changes, as well as providing leadership and direction * Provide reliable, accurate forecasts on performance, by nursery, against occupancy targets and analyse results. Instigate and escalate actions to mitigate risk * Support retention and manage attrition in line with business development activity * Manage reporting and analysis of sales pipeline and conversion ratios identifying trends, opportunities and potential risks across the group. Initiate actions to enhance performance * Work with the Senior Management Team to set pricing, discounts and commercial structure for new and existing nurseries * Work with the Senior Management Team and Marketing to manage acquisition for new nursery launches including room and transition planning * Work alongside CEO to create proposals for future partnerships and joint ventures * Work collaboratively with Senior Management Team to deliver best practice and process leadership to ensure that Fennies achieves and maintains a market leading position and premium quality offer * Align commercial development activity to Early Years quality standards, curriculum and Fennies brand values and vision * Where necessary, be able to work outside of core role to deliver best results to Fennies, Fennies Day Nurseries Ltd is an equal opportunities employer.
